Hospital Directory | Banfield

The hospital directory came about after launching the new Banfield Pet Hospital intranet and was built based on the need for associates to search for other hospitals and staff while talking with clients. With the data showing many failed searches of names and hospital numbers, we knew it was time to build a hospital directory. I was tasked with the web page design, user experience, and interface design to make it easy-to-use, data viable, and visually appealing.

The first time associates could search for other hospitals and staff.

Providing some examples of other directory searches and creating wireframes, I partnered with a web developer to see if the data was viable through HRIS and Data Warehouse. This would need to be updated nightly to stay accurate. After wireframes were approved and data was verified, I built out the screens for the landing page and search results, exported final images.

The hospital directory remained in the top 5 most visited pages with it being used not only by hospital associates daily but corporate headquarters too.

My Role

Led the overall project, user experience, and interface design of the hospital directory in collaboration with a SharePoint web developer. Updated assets as needed when information changed for the regional maps and provided final content.
